Bus Trip

Yesterday was a travel day for Zane and I.  We traveled 3 1/2 hours to Dillard, GA to eat lunch.  It wasn't just lunch, it was a social and culinary experience.  The table set for 14 people was covered from one end to the other with vegetables and meat.  There were about 4 choices of meat and numbers of varied vegetables.  I only ate one plate full but my plate was large and very full.  The fried okra was out of this world delicious.  I passed on the corn on the cob because I forgot to bring toothpicks and floss.  Dessert was blackberry cobbler topped with ice cream.  The food was wonderful and satisfying but the shared love and conversation was priceless.

We rode one of the church buses and after being on the road for an hour we found the air conditioning was malfunctioning.  The temperature was in the 90's but I think God was just reminding us of how we should appreciate the blessing of air conditioning, and it worked.  Most of us on the bus remember what that was like but I don't think any of us want to return to those days.
